Ready, Steady, Stand!
Let’s take a moment to think about how we move from sitting to standing up. What may seem like a simple task; getting out of bed in the morning, off the toilet or out of a vehicle, is in fact a complex skill. The ability to move independently from sit to stand allows us to connect easily with our surroundings and the people in our lives. As an individual’s ability to stand up decreases the need for caregiver assistance may increase. Some individuals may require supervision with moving from sit to stand, while others may require greater assistance which leads us to this session. The aim for this webinar is to explore sit to stand solutions for individuals with varying needs to be able to move safely and to optimize their abilities as we strive to make everyday life easier.
